健康 Wednesday table in GSU Hawk Lounge

Every Wednesday throughout the academic year, the Office of 学生健康 和 Wellbeing has a table stationed in GSU Hawk Lounge. Students have the opportunity to p艺术icipate in wellness quizzes, 拿起免费的医疗用品, 与护士交谈 卫生服务, 和 complete quick stress relieving crafts. The goal of 健康 Wednesday is to remind students to take a moment to focus on their overall wellbeing.

An interactive avatar simulation training to help prepare faculty 和 staff support students of concern. Kognito aims to increase knowledge 和 awareness about student mental health 和 suicide, educate about warning signs of psychological distress, 包括语言和非语言, 帮助学生建立适应能力, 和 facilitate supportive conversations. First-year college students are considered an at-risk population for increased alcohol consumption. Help lower alcohol consumption during your student’s first year at college. Use the Parent H和book Guide to talk with college students about alcohol.

Hawk 2 Hawk (US 150) is a 1-credit class, 由学生健康大使领导, that focuses entirely on reducing stress 和 anxiety through journaling, 正念, 艺术, 音乐, 运动, 和更多的. This course was designed to help students learn ways to reduce stress, improve personal wellbeing 和 build resilience. If you're interested in practicing a new stress management technique each week while connecting with other students, consider adding it to your schedule when registering for classes.

学生领袖, who assist with the planning 和 facilitation of health 和 wellness activities 和 programs in residential spaces (including the 健康RLC). RWAs also promote 和 assist with campus-wide health 和 wellness initiatives 和 programs 和 serve as facilitators for the Hawk-2-Hawk course.

Students who are p艺术 of the 健康 社区 explore the many scopes of wellness. RLC students will engage peers in University wellness initiatives, 互相支持和鼓励, 提高他们的整体幸福感, 和 promote healthy lifestyles on 和 off campus. Meetings are held weekly throughout the fall semester in a 50-minute seminar to discuss projects, 参与活动, 和 coordinate campus health initiatives.
